Wine No 3 from
Domaine de la Bonne Tonne
Dames de Coeur 2022
AOP Morgon
The genius "Beaujolais nouveau" marketing idea undermined for a long time the ability of the really good Beaujolais to get the respect they're due. But, it's no longer a secret. Morgon is one of ten crus within the Beaujolais region and our favorite. The 100% Gamay grapes are vinified with their native yeast without using any SO2. This wine is pleasant and we mean this in the best possible way. During the blind tasting session that it emerged from, one of the participants asked everyone else: "would you finish this bottle sip by sip with a friend?" The unanimous answer was YES. Serve chilled, excellent for aperitif.

Anne-Laure & Thomas Agatensi
Domaine Bonne Tonne has been in Anne-Laure's family for 7 generations now. Her father made the property switch to organic farming, also applying some biodynamic techniques. And now that Anne-Laure and Thomas have left their 'jobs' to take their turn running the domaine, it is their intention to not only follow in her father's footsteps but earn the DEMETER biodynamic certification soon. They've even recruited Câline, their eight year old horse to help them plow the land!
