This Hungarian cuvée bears the full intensity of the volcanic soil from which it was drawn — yet that raw mineral force is tempered by pleasant notes of red fruit, lending the wine an unexpected generosity. This is a wine of rare honesty.

The Craft

- Selective hand-harvesting.
- Fermentation in steel-ceramic vats.
- Aged in Stockinger barrels.
- No filtering.
- 14.5% ABV.
- Lifespan: up to 15 years.

The winemaker

Philipp Oser

From the early beginnings of Villa Tolnay, Oser assumed the role of Chief Winemaker, personally overseeing each harvest and vintage. He recognizes the unique potential of the volcanic soil on Csobánc hill, and focuses on expressing this "somewhereness" in every bottle. Following his vision, Villa Tolnay produces intense, dry, mineral-rich wines that have a great aging potential.
