Tasting notes

Pale pink with soft gray tones, this rosé blends Grenache, Mourvèdre, Counoise, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon in a quietly elegant style. The nose is discreet yet precise, showing redcurrant, blackcurrant bud, and delicate white-fleshed fruit. The palate is supple and dense, with a long, lightly tangy finish that deepens its aromatic persistence. A gastronomic rosé shaped for freshness, finesse, and calm Provençal depth.<br><br><b> The Craft<br><br></b> - Manual harvest, cooled for 24 hours at 50°F. - Alcoholic fermentation at 64–68°F in stainless steel. - No malolactic fermentation. - Aged 5 months on fine lees with regular stirring. - 53% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 14% Counoise, 9% Syrah, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon.<br><br><b> The Occasion<br><br></b> Ideal with grilled sea bass, puff pastry tomato tart, burrata, and a table calling for a rosé with depth, structure, and a long, refreshing finish.

Château Romanin rises beneath the northern slope of the Alpilles, a biodynamic estate shaped by Provençal light and the ruins of a 13th-century Templar castle.  In 2024, Carolyn and Stan Sheetz became its stewards.

Théo Buravand has followed la "voie royale" for someone not born in a French wine family and not a domaine owner. After graduating with a Diplome Nationale d'Oenologue in Toulouse, he studied business and then started his career at Château Romanin in 2018.

He paid his dues, quickly rose through the ranks to become the vignerron of the domaine. In December 2004, he got promoted to Managing Director. The vineyard has been certified biodynamic for several years. Théo's ambition is to produce elegant, complex wines that are honest and natural expressions of the exceptional terroir of Château Romanin. We think he is succeeding.
