Pech Saint Jean is shrouded in the same mystery as the marine creatures fossilized in the soil beneath the estate — sculptural forms with strangely fascinating powers. This wine infuses us with memories belonging to the ages.
I'm a nerd, I want every detail
Pech Saint Jean was born on a rounded hill that watches over Cabardès, one of the youngest appellations in France. It moves with the seasons — sometimes bright, sometimes brooding, always marked by its limestone spine. Syrah and Merlot give this wine its generous core; Cabernet and Grenache bring lift and tension. It’s a red that stays true to its place: fresh, powerful, with a mineral edge.
The Craft
- Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness.
- Whole berries.
- Cold maceration for 28 days.
- Gentle pump-overs and punch-downs.
- Aged 15 months in temperature-controlled stainless steel.
- 14% ABV.
- Lifespan: 10 years.

Camille Galy
Domaine Galy sits on a plateau of garrigue north of Carcassonne — a family story more than a century in the making. It began in 1907 with seven hectares of vines. Today the estate spans 150, with 70 under vine and five devoted to truffle oak woods.
Four siblings — Yann, Loïc, Camille, and Romain — now guide the domaine, each bringing a different hand: vineyard and truffle work, cellar and field, geology and marketing. They farm where two winds meet, the Cers and the Marin, a crossroads of Mediterranean warmth and Atlantic freshness. Limestone rich with ancient shells gives their wines lift and tension.
